Calvary Volleyball Falls to #5 After Tough Stretch

Kansas City, Mo.

Calvary University women’s volleyball has slipped in the latest NCCAA DII Coaches’ Poll, dropping from the #3 ranking to #5 after a challenging two weeks of competition.

Following a dominant 4-0 start to the season, where the Warriors won each match in straight sets, Calvary faced a tougher slate and finished 1-3 in their next four contests. Their losses were to NAIA opponents Bethany College, Mission University, and Hesston College. The stretch tested the Warriors against strong opponents and highlighted areas for growth as the season progresses.

Despite the setback, Calvary remains in the national conversation and holds on to a top-five spot. With a mix of early success and recent adversity, the Warriors will look to regroup, sharpen their play, and climb back up the rankings as the season continues. Kenleigh Elder, a junior from Prairie Grove, Arkansas, leads the team in stats, with 3.46 points per set, followed closes by freshman Whitney Nissen from Kansas City, Missouri, with 2.93 points per set.

The Warriors hope to get back to winning a streak with tonight's match up against #8 ranked Ozark Christian College. Go Warriors!
