The Calvary Warriors traveled to Manhattan, KS to compete against Manhattan Christian College. “We started slow against a fast-paced offense and took too long to adjust,” Warrior Head Coach Jojo Wilkes said. “We had stretches where we played well, and our defense was strong, especially in the third set. Their team was able to capitalize on the many free balls we sent over as we struggled to get our offense working. They are a tough team, and we will see them again in a few weeks so I’m sure we will be stronger then!” The team continued to improve over the night as their confidence grew and players started to improve, hit around the blocks and increase their energy. Kenleigh Elder had 7 kills, and Elle Davis brought the hype and energy which was crucial for the team to improve set by set.
The Warriors prepare to play Barclay College for a home match at the Pyramid Athletic Center @ 6 p.m.
