The Calvary Warriors played their first conference game Labor Day weekend and were successful in defeating Ozark Christian in a thrilling 5 set match. “It was a roller coaster!” Warrior Head Coach Jojo Wilkes said. “We played really well in sets 1, 3, and 5 and were on a high, but then sets 2 & 4 were more of a struggle. What I realized about our team is that we need to develop a sense of consistency in our play. The focus moving forward is figuring out how to bridge the gap in our play so that we can be a more consistent team.” Many of the players stood out leading the team to victory. Jillian Nipple ran the offense with 36 assists and 22 digs, Leah Grady led the team with 17 kills followed by Haley Arneson with 12 kills, and Elle Davis with 7 kills. None of that would be possible without the fantastic defense of libero, Alli Edwards with 46 digs.
