The Calvary Men’s Basketball coaching staff signed AJ Bordallo, a 5’8″ point guard from Houston Texas as the first recruit on the 2018-19 roster. Bordallo signed in April.
“We are so pumped to have a point guard like AJ,” said Coach Sanders. “When assistant coach Parker saw him, he said we have to have this guy. Man was he right. AJ is a humble, hungry, and incredible young man. His tools on the court are going to be a great addition to our team, and his character, and his heart for Christ are going to be an excellent addition to our team and program.”
A dynamic player, Bordallo averaged 19 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists, and 5 steals per game in his senior season with the NOVA Wolfpack in San Antonio. In addition, he was awarded 5 all-tournament, 1 honorable mention, and 1 Christian character awards during his high school career.
AJ will be majoring in Business Administration: Management, and hopes to play professional basketball, or start a career in real estate. He chose to come to Calvary because the culture and atmosphere is enriched in the Word of God, and that was something he loved.
